Google Advanced Search is a great way to limit your results to specific url's (like .gov or .edu), or specific types of files (like pdf's or PowerPoints). After a Google Advanced search, you should see different results than what you would see in a typical Google search

A Google Scholar search will return only scholarly, academic articles. Many articles are freely available, but some are behind a pay wall and you will not have access to the entire article
