Tips for Working with a Tutor

1. Don't wait until the last minute! This is especially true with writing assignments. You'll need time to take the writing tutor's suggestions and apply them to your paper

2. Bring supplies--assignment sheet, syllabus, class notes, calculator, laptop

3. Be prepared to work. Turn off cell phone notifications to help you focus

4. Listen to the tutor's suggestions
